Flightscope Radar Technology

FlightScope uses radar technology for full 3-D flight patterns and launch parameters of all golf shots, from short pitches to 400 yard drives by measuring the entire flight of the ball and giving all the pertinent information for a perfect fit.

Flightscope Combine – Skills Assessment:  $79

The FlightScope Combines have been designed to be the ultimate test of a golfer’s skill levels. There are three Combines a user can choose from, and each has a unique flavor and specific use.

The Quick Combine is a tool very similar to the old FlightScope app’s Driver, Iron, Wedge session, which is what a coach mostly uses when meeting and greeting his student for the first time. Three targets, 100 yards, 165 yards and a Fairway at 230 yards, five shots per target, just to give the coach a feel of how his student fares over three typical distances on the course.

The Complete Combine is the definitive assessment tool. Designed to test the golfer over distances ranging from a 20 yards chip shot. This test was designed for players interested in comparing themselves with the best. Not even Tour pros should expect to make a perfect score, and the reason being, the Skills app gives a full score when a ball lands inside the black ring. For the Combines, these black circles have radii exactly at the PGA Tour average distance to pin, for the specific target distance. That means, the best in the world only land their shots inside that black dot half of the time! Hitting the target at all, therefore, should be seen as an accomplishment in it’s own right by most average players, even if it’s not near the green.

Flightscope Yardage Guide and Gap Analysis:  $89

Spend an Hour with a PGA Professional Completing a Gap Analysis.  Hit 10 or more shots with each club in your bag to measure accuracy, average distance, longest distances, launch angles, spin rates, smash factor, and more analytical data regarding your swing and ball flight statistics.  The Flightscope launch monitor will capture the data and present it in file format for review.  Our staff can print the results or email them to the student. This is an excellent choice for those students looking to improve distance control, ball flight control, and analyze potential gaps in equipment for specific yardages

Shaft Optimization Technology

Getting the correct shaft is extremely important. The shaft is the engine of the golf club. The Academy with the help of Mizuno, offers Shaft Optimization by gathering important shaft parameters from real swing data. By measuring swing speed, tempo, toe down, kick angle, and the release factor, we are able to optimize the perfect shaft for the player.

Your PGA Professional

Your PGA Professional understands that having statistics in black and white is a tremendous advantage when teaching or fitting, however, your PGA professional also understands the human element. Our highly trained staff will use their eyes, knowledge, ability to communicate, and customer's feedback to help get the proper fit and improved confidence.

The Golf Academy specializes in club repair. Our staff offers re-gripping, re-shafting, swing weight and overall weight measurements, loft and lie measurements and bending, shaft frequency matching, and more. If a club needs repair or tweaking, we can do it for a very reasonable fee.
