Mother's Day Brunch at Swan Lake Resort

Join us at Swan Lake Resort in our Grand Ballroom for one of our most attended events of the year.  On Sunday, May 10th, Chef Greg Schiesser and his team will be preparing an elaborate Mother's Day Brunch that will be sure to please.  Let our staff take care of all the work as your family celebrates Mom on her special day.  We will be providing two separate reservation times with the first one being at 11 AM and the second one being at 2 PM.

Swan Lake Resort is excited to announce the appointment of its new Executive Chef, Greg Schiesser.  He will oversee culinary direction for Dickies Restaurant and Putter's Bar & Grille, as well as hotel catering and private events.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Chef Greg Schiesser to Swan Lake,” said Kevin Smith, general manager at Swan Lake Resort. “He possesses an incredible mixture of experience, leadership, and creativity;  His wealth of experience will be coupled with our ongoing commitment to providing our guests with extraordinary dining experiences, highlighted by well balanced, local ingredients.”

Chef Schiesser brings more than 17 years of culinary experience to his position at the Swan Lake Resort.   Schiesser was most recently serving as Executive Chef at Wyndham Resorts in Indianapolis, where he oversaw three restaurants along with banquets and catering for a 40,000-square-foot event space.  Prior to Wyndham, he was Executive Chef at Indiana Downs in Shelbyville, Indiana.  He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his cooking including Indiana Taste of Elegance "Chef Par Excellence" 1st Place, Greater Indianapolis Chili Challenge 1st Place, Indiana Taste of Elegance "People's Choice Award", Indiana State Fair 1st Place "Pork Burger", Featured Chef at “Bull BBQ Battle” World Food Championships, and Honorary Judge at the Indiana State Fair BBQ Competition.

“I am looking forward to working with the staff at Swan Lake, and helping continue the growth of the two great restaurants on the property.  I am also looking forward working with the wedding s, banquets, and special events at Swan Lake Resort to make every guest experience exceptional.”

Easter Brunch at Swan Lake Resort

We invite you to join us at Swan Lake Resort on Sunday, April 5th for our always popular Easter Brunch.  Let the staff of Swan Lake Resort do all the work while you enjoy time with family and friends.  Along with a wonderful Buffet meal served in the Grand Ballroom, we will also be visited by the Easter Bunny.  For the kids, we will have an Easter Egg Hunt in our Gazebo Courtyard to be held at 1 PM.  We will be providing two seating times for this year's event.  The first seating will take place at 11 AM and the second seating will take place at 2 PM.  Cost, which will include soft drinks and tax will be $28 for adults, $23 for Seniors, $10 for Children ages 4-12 and free for children 3 and under.  To make your reservations, please call 574-935-5680 x760.  We look forward to welcoming your family and making Easter a special day for everyone.

The main reason for swing flaws is that some golfers can’t move their bodies the way they need to in order to produce a fluid, unrestricted, and powerful swing.  If a player lacks mobility or stability in certain body parts, the player’s body will inevitably go around their limitations; creating common deviations and swing flaws.  This program will specifically target the body/swing connection and help all players find and reach their peak fitness and performance.  We are excited to be able to offer our new Golf Fitness and Performance Class at The Golf Academy at Swan Lake Resort.

What Is Included in Each Class??

Each participant will receive a physical screening that will identify any strengths and/or limitations with regards to flexibility, mobility and stability.  A digital high speed  golf swing video analysis will show the corresponding swing characteristics and relationships tied to the physical screening results.  This allows us to make the Body-Swing Connection.  Brian and Amy then align their professional findings and offer a powerful prescription of golf drills, exercise and stretching routines for each individual to improve their overall golf fitness and performance along with enhancing their everyday life.

New Specials at Dickies Restaurant

Come out to Dickies Restaurant this fall and winter and take advantage of a great special that we will be offering Monday - Thursday.  Beginning on Monday, November 10th, Dickies Restaurant will be offering a special menu where you can choose either two options for $20 or three options for $25.  The two option menu will allow you to choose two entrees and your choice of either a shared appetizer or shared dessert.  The three option menu will allow you to choose a shared appetizer, two entrees and a shared dessert.  We look forward to having all of you join us at Dickies Restaurant this fall and winter.
